Hosted Tours Terms & Conditions
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION & PRICING
Hosted Tour Packages: Bella Vita Italia (“BVI”) offers a variety of pre-planned and designed tours which are escorted by a BVI Host. These trips can accommodate between 4-10 participants although groups slightly larger will be considered and priced out accordingly. Pricing is generally based based on double occupancy, but we can also provide pricing for single occupancy upon request.
Our hosted tours include “upscale” accommodations (usually 4-star+ or a possible, exceptional 3-star level) as noted in the itinerary, meals as specified, transfers upon arrival/departure, private tours and transportation, and other activities as noted in the itinerary, BVI’s fees, taxes and gratuities throughout except to your BVI Host. Additionally, you will receive a “BVI” Welcome Packet”, approximately one month before your departure date, detailing the daily itinerary and pertinent information for your hosted tour.
Not Included are the following items: airfare to/from Italy; travel insurance; baggage handling; meals other than as specified in your tour itinerary; room upgrades or accommodation “extras” (such as internet use, phone calls, laundry, and any other personal/optional and incidental expenses and gratuities to your BVI Host.
A 50% deposit per person is required at the time of booking your trip. The balance is due no later than 90 days prior to your departure date.
BVI accepts payment in US Dollars by check, wire transfer, Visa or Master Card and by Pay Pal. Payments made by check or wire receive a 3% discount. (If we don’t have to pay the banking fees, neither should you!) In the event a refund is provided, currency conversion costs and expenses associated with exchange rate fluctuations will be subtracted from such refund.
Cancellations can result in costly charges from travel and hotel providers, including fees and penalties associated with the cancellation of confirmed tickets and hotel rooms. Therefore, the following cancellation fees apply (without exception):
- Prior to 90 days: BVI will retain a cancellation fee of €500 per participant who cancels (minus any banking fees)
- 61-90 days prior to departure date: 75% refund (minus any banking fees)
- 31-60 days prior to departure date: 50% refund (minus any banking fees)
- 30 days or less prior to departure date: No refund
IMPORTANT: Please note, that the cancellation of one participant can change to overall cost of the trip and therefore may result in additional costs to the remaining participants.
If one must cancel but finds replacement participant for their position prior to 90 days before departure, the deposit will be “transferable” to the new traveler.
We strongly encourage you to buy travel insurance at the time of booking in the event you must cancel and forfeit funds or in the unfortunate case of injury or loss. LIMITS & LIABILITY:
Bella Vita Italia, LLC, and/or its partners, subsidiaries and agents act only as an agent for the hotels, restaurants, airlines, bus companies, ship lines, owners or contractors providing accommodations, transportation providers, or other service providers (“suppliers”).
By acceptance of a Hosted Trip or a Tailor-made Vacation Package, the client agrees that BVI assumes no liability for any loss, injury or damage to a person or property, or otherwise any connection with any accommodations, transportation, or other service, resulting directly or indirectly from any acts of co-travelers, suppliers, nature, or dangers, delays, cancellations, and incidents related to the sea or weather conditions, health related problems before, after, or during the tour, fire, breakdown in machinery or equipment, acts of government or other authorities, de jure or de facto, wars, whether declared or not, hostilities, civil disturbances, terrorist attacks, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferage, epidemics, quarantines, medical or custom regulations, defaults, delays or cancellations or changes in itinerary or schedules, or from any causes beyond the control of BVI or for loss or damage resulting from insufficient, or improperly issued passports, visas or other documents, and that BVI assumes no liability sustained or incurred by a Tailor-made Vacation Package member or Hosted Tour client as a result of any foreign causes and is not liable for defaults or breach of contract of those persons, suppliers, or companies not directly under the control of BVI.
BVI reserves the right to substitute accommodations with best available alternatives and make any changes in the itinerary where deemed necessary or caused by airline or ferry schedules, or other reasons.
Land transportation is provided in accordance with the itinerary by private bus, minibus, or licensed cars, and sometimes by inter-country airfare, depending on the itinerary and the size of the group. By embarking on his/her travel, the traveler voluntarily assumes all risks involved in such travel, whether expected or unexpected.
